The Centre for the Prevention of Radicalization Leading to Violence (CPRLV) was established in 2015 in Montréal, Canada, to provide an alternative approach to dealing with the growing threat of radicalisation. The approach used by the organisation is multi-disciplinary, whereby three specialised teams work together ‘to ensure the elaboration, development and implementation of prevention and intervention strategies for dealing with radicalization leading to violence as well as with hate crimes and incidents.
The organisation’s supports for their target groups include online tools and guides, training programmes, presentation conferences, activities, counselling, publications and a helpline.

The main objective of the Centre for the Prevention of Radicalization Leading to Violence (CPRLV) is to prevent radicalisation which leads to violence, hate crimes and incidents using innovative approaches which include documenting the nature of radicalisation, developing prevention and intervention strategies and producing appropriate guidelines and tools to support those directly and indirectly affected by these issues.
